Entreq Triton Speaker Cable

The Triton is a brand new speaker cable from Entreq, launched in December 2021

It is a completely new design from Entreq and the cable is constructed in a 4 way braid.

The Triton effectively replaces what was the Challenger and the Apollo, and it vastly outperforms both of these outgoing models.

Triton speaker cable comes included with captive drain wires (0.7m) and an Olympus Ten Tungsten Ground Box (worth £1400 on its own), so everything required is included.

All new conductors and drain wires and in typical Entreq fashion there are no alloys used in its construction, plenty of wood and cotton braiding (which is non synthetic) – all of this combined results in an hugely dark cable, it’s so quiet and the background is eerily black is actually quite unnerving when you hear it. As always with Entreq the presentation is natural but never laid back, incredibly detailed but never strident or fatiguing. It is a truly magnificent sounding cable

Entreq cables always take a little while to settle down (usually a good 24-48 hours), but the Triton sounds superb from the off and simply continues to improve as the noise is slowly drained away to the box.

Entreq’s grounding technique on their speaker cables is very clever and it ensures that they remove RFI and EMI from the cable and also from the equipment at either end of the cable.

The Triton speaker cable is by default terminated spade to spade, but 4mm plugs can be specified.

They start at a 2.2 metre pair and go up from this length in 0.55 metre increments

It costs £7200 for a 2.2m pair, to calculate the price per metre remove the £1400 for the ground box. Then take the remaining £5800 and divide that by 4.4 = £1318 per metre.

The price per metre does vary depending on length as the ground box is the same price regardless of the cable length

We keep Triton speaker cable and the Triton XLR interconnect on permanent demonstration and home trials are no problem either.
