The Gold Note DS-1000 EVO Streaming DAC is their top of the range digital source.

The core of the DS-1000 EVO is the Dual-Mono D/A converter design, powered by two AKM AK4493 converters to ensure the highest fidelity is always preserved during the conversion stage, with virtually zero crosstalk.

You can stream through Tidal, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, Deezer and also via Roon. It supports MQA as well as Airplay and Bluetooth.

With Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect, streaming is done directly from within their dedicated apps. The DS-1000 EVO is a Roon Ready Endpoint, a Roon Core like a Nucleus or NUC is required for Roon to operate.

Melco, Aurender, Innous and computer users can connect to the DS-1000 EVO via USB-B – no audio file will be a problem, supporting MQA, PCM (up to 32bit/384kHz) and DSD (up to DSD512).

Completing the design, the output stage in Class A features audio-grade discrete components selected to deliver our unique Italian sound.

For people who have digital music collections stored locally on a NAS, Melco or similar, you can use any UPnP/DLNA software from your smartphone or tablet. Or simply download the Gold Note Control App to control all the features and functions of the DS-1000 EVO, as well as managing your music and streaming services.

There is a 6.3mm headphone socket on the front as well, you can adjust the sensitivity in the menu to ensure you get the best from your headphones.

There are 2 versions of the DS-1000 EVO available, the standard version (£5950) and the Line Version (£7800)

The standard DS-1000 EVO is a fixed output model designed to connect via XLR or RCA into an integrated amplifier (or pre-amplifier)

The DS-1000 EVO LINE has a built in Class A pre-amplifier with a volume control so it can connect to a power amplifier, or to active loudspeakers. The LINE version has 1 pair of XLR and RCA inputs, ideal for analogue source like a phono stage.

There are several upgrade options for both versions of the DS-1000 EVO, there are 2 power supply upgrades, the PSU-1000 (£3600) and PSU-1250 (£6000) and there is also 2 Class A Tube output stage options with the Tube 1006 (£3600) and Tube 1012 (£6400)
