Entreq manufacture a extensive number of products, many of them could be classified as ‘accessories’ but some of them are so pivotal to system performance I would argue they as more accurately described as system essentials

A word of warning: this is a long page, there are simply too many important Entreq products and I don’t want to skip or skim over any of them. Not all of them will be relevant to every system, but they can all make a profound impact to the performance of a system.

Some of these products on this page are standalone Entreq items, whereas other are designed to complement existing Entreq products in a system.

Max T Ground Post

Up until recently Entreq had the choice of 4 different ground posts, there was the K2, Everest, Peak 4 and the newest offering the Max-T. They all did something different to the presentation, the K2 and Everest were the original posts, the Peak 4 followed on with the Max-T arriving in the Autumn of 2023.

Since the Peak 4 launched in 2021 it had been the most successful of the 3 ground posts but since then Entreq have released their Tungsten based ground box range and with that has been some profound performance benefits – Max T takes the Peak 4 and incorporates a small slice of what Entreq did with the Tungsten boxes.

Essentially the Max T is all about articulation, texture and really accurate tone, it’s quite a step up over other 3 posts, as such Entreq made the decision in the Autumn of 2024 to discontinue K2, Everest and Peak 4 so the Max-T is the only post upgrade now available.

Where to put a Max-T

The Max-T can be used on any ground box to upgrade it’s performance, it makes for a really compelling upgrade, especially when used on an Silver Minimus, Olympus Ten or a Poseidon.

The Macro Kit is £400 and it is been a popular product since it’s launch, many Macro owners would possibly consider a Max-T post overkill as it costs the same as the kit itself, but fitting a Max-T to a Macro Kit elevates its performance to a totally new place, itt serves as a really powerful upgrade to a Macro Kit or a Macro Twin Kit.

Entreq MaxMix T2 Kit

The MaxMix T2 Kit was launched in the Autumn of 2024, this kit can be used a standalone item, it requires no other Entreq to work. This kit is design to connect to the terminals on your loudspeakers and effectively reduce the magnetic field effect and high frequency noise that arrives at the loudspeakers from the amplifier. It removes noise, improves clarity and detail.

Vibbeaters

These quirky looking little mice are a bit of an eyebrow raiser, but they work really well.

You place a pair of them on top of a pair of loudspeakers or on a component (or even a ground box) and they pull away unwanted energy, absorb cabinet vibrations and stray magnetic fields. The Vibbeaters contain within them a mixture of copper, sand and very small quantities of precious metals.

Place a pair of Vibbeaters on top of a pair of speakers and simply listen to some music you know well and it won’t take to hear bass lines are tighter, the sound has more control with improved textures and pacing. They sound a bit unusual when reading about them, but I’ve never done a demonstration which hasn’t been effective.

There are 4 Vibbeaters in the range, the Ultra is the entry level model and they are available individually and £100 each. The other 3 Vibbeaters come in pairs and start at £200, the weight and size increases as you move through the range, which Vibbeater is best for you depends on the size/weight of what you intend to you them with.

Using with loudspeakers

The Vibbeater works on three specific fronts when placed on top of a loudspeaker.

1. Through its weight, it gives further stability to the speaker cabinet itself.
2. The vibrations and fields that are generated in the speaker cabinet are most intense at the top of the speaker where the energy cannot go any further. So when placing a Vibbeater on top of the speaker you are, in essence, extending the length of the speaker cabinet to a critical point outside of the cabinet. The key is that that energy is no longer a part of the speaker itself. The Vibbeaters simply absorb the energy and transforms it into heat.
3. The magnetic characteristics that make up the Vibbeaters granular mixture can have a very positive impact on the fields generated in and around the loudspeaker itself.

They don’t slow the music or remove the life from the music, they makes things much calmer sounding – treble becomes cleaner, more open and relaxed. Bass becomes quicker, tighter, and with a deeper, more textured sound. Above all the sound picture is widened which should give you a more precise position in width, depth and altitude. You will experience a newfound flow and calm in the sound.

Using Vibbeaters with Electronics

When used on electronics the Vibbeater also neutralises part of the magnetic field from the electronic equipment. A little experimentation is needed to find the optimal position for the Vibbeater, the best place to start is closest to the power cable inlet or directly above the product’s transformer.
