Electromagnetic Field Transformers

A New Approach from Entreq

Electromagnetic Field Transformers from Entreq are designed to improve system performance by addressing electromagnetic field effects that most hi-fi upgrades leave untouched.

Without making electrical contact, these devices shape and settle the field environment around power, network, and signal cables, reducing interference and restoring clarity. The range includes Magneus, MaxMix T2 Kit, and Protectus — each tailored for a specific role, and all working together to deliver a more open, natural, and engaging sound.

The Missing Piece in System Optimisation

You can upgrade components, swap cables, even rebuild your rack. However, none of that will resolve the field-based pollution quietly entering through your power and network connections. This is an issue which simply doesn’t respond to traditional upgrades.

Based on years of research into electromagnetic behaviour in high-end audio systems, Magneus is part of a new product category that Entreq call  Electromagnetic Field Transformers (EMF Transformers).

These devices operate without electrical connection. They don’t touch the signal. But the impact they have to system performance is unmistakable.

Three Models, One Purpose

  • Magneus Signal – for network, USB and HDMI cables and analogue signal cables
  • Magneus Power – for power and speaker cables
  • Magneus Supreme – a circular array creating a full-field chamber for maximum effect – for power cables on large amplifers or the cable that feeds to the wall to a power conditioner.

Each is based on the same principle: field shaping through carefully selected materials and precise internal geometry. There are no filters, no electronics and no signal connection, only a profound rebalancing of the electromagnetic environment through which audio travels.

How it works

Every cable that carries current, whether for power or signal, generates magnetic fields and microscopic vibrations. These fields overlap, interfere and induce unwanted currents in surrounding components, creating an invisible web of interaction that subtly undermines sound quality.

Magneus doesn’t block or filter these fields. It shapes them. Through a carefully composed internal structure of paramagnetic and dielectric materials, it creates a calmer electromagnetic environment around the cable allowing music to emerge with greater clarity, focus and natural energy.

There’s no power, no tuning and no direct contact with the conductor at all.

Simply run a cable between 2 components and insert it through the hole in the centre of the Magneus and play some music. The music becomes calmer and cleaner with an obvious increase in clarity and insight, but don’t mistake that something that sounds more forward, lively or analytical, the presentation gain refinement and the music simply plays with greater ease and confidence.

MaxMix T2 Kit

The MaxMix T2 kit launched a couple of years ago and it has been a really popular solution, it can be used in a system as a standalone Entreq item.

This kit comprises of two Max T ground posts and two Mix T2 posts which attach to the positive and negative terminals of your the loudspeakers. These posts, as well as reducing physical micro-vibrations, contain a specific and special combination of metal windings which in tandem work to both reduce vibrations at the terminals and more importantly to influence/reduce the magnetic fields around the terminals.

There’s no doubt this this is a bit of unusual product, but to be fair it doesn’t take long listening to hear what the MaxMix kit is doing. You get an increase in clarity, air and space, bass become more articulate and the music simply feel more refined and calmer.

The impact this kit makes can be rather significant, but with other Entreq products it can take a little time for the kit to fully settle into a system.

Feedback from customers has been superb, a few felt that their impact was subtle at first, but after a couple of days of listening the really came into their own. We’ve customers using the MaxMix T2 kit on a huge variety of speakers, ranging from around £4500 to over £40000.
