Chris Thomas at Hi-Fi Plus Magazine has reviewed the brilliant Vitus RI-101 Integrated Amplifier and it’s fair to say he somewhat likes what it does.
I’ve been championing the merits of the RI-101 since it’s release in the Spring of 2018. It’s such a good amplifier, 300 watts of effortless power and control with majestic performance. With 3 XLR and 2 RCA inputs there is enough connectivity for most people. You can configure any of the 5 inputs to work with a home cinema system if relelvant as well.
Almost 12 months on from its launch there are very few people who have had a demonstration of the RI-101 and not ended up purchasing one. It does something so special it really needs to be heard so you can find out for yourself. Few amplifiers (be it one box or multiple) allow to you connect to the music in the same way as the Vitus does.
The Vitus RI-101 can be specified in 3 versions, a straightforward integrated amplifier (£11800), or with a USB DAC model (£14000) to connect a Melco or similar for example, or with a network based streaming module for streaming Tidal and or Qobuz (£14800).
The last option is proving interesting as with this module you literally just need the RI-101 and a pair of speakers and you’ve a world class system in just one box!
We have the RI-101 on demonstration now, if you would like to hear it in the comfort of your own home please get in touch. As always, part exchange is not a problem.
