Shunyata released their Altaira Chassis Grounding Hub in 2022, it was previewed at Munich High End that year.
The Altaira has been designed by Shunyata’s founder Caelin Gabriel, drawing upon his extensive experience of designing low noise electrical systems for home audio, plus medical and military applications. The results of his efforts have resulted in numerous awards including a product of the year from The Absolute Sound
Designed to control ground plane noise the Altaira uses patented technology to reduce noise, distortion, buzzing, ground loops and by successfully lowering the noise floor they can improve performance, increasing dynamics, system articulation and levels of detail and textures in the music.
The benefits of the Altaira are immediate and customer demonstrations have delivered consistently positive results – every demonstration of an Altaira has resulted in a customer placing an order.
There is also a second Altaira hub available, which is called the Altaira Segmented Hub, this has been designed for use in larger more complex system where analogue and digital components can be separated from one another to further enhance system performance.
In Munich High End 2025 Shunyata unveiled the Altaira X, their flagship grounding hub which builds upon the performance of the Altaira Chassis Hub and Segmented Hub in every way.
Altaira X has eight independently filtered terminals which create a profoundly quiet foundation for recording, mastering, or high-end listening systems striving for ultimate performance, effectively each terminal is as powerful a single Altaira in its own right and because each terminal is independent you can integrate digital and analogue components on a single Altaira X.
The Altaira Chassis Hub and Segmented Hub are £3000 each and the Altaira X is £9900
