Exogal Ion PowerDAC

We have for sale an Exogal Comet Ion PowerDAC

This unit is pre-owned, one owner from new, originally supplied by myself in November 2020

Supplied in original box with power supply, UK power cable and an Exonet cable (HDMI)

The Ion is a actually a power amplifier and one that can only be used with the Exogal Comet DAC, it will not work with anything else

If you add an Ion to a Comet DAC (or Comet Plus) the Comet is the DAC and the Pre-amp and the Ion is the power amp.

The Ion is a unique design as the signal remains entirely in the digital domain until just before the signal reaches the loudspeaker outputs.

It delivers 100 watts into 8 ohms and 150 watys into 4 ohms

The Exogal Comet Plus was £3000 and the Ion was £3350 so not an inexpensive pairing, but in performance terms they deliver well beyond what the asking price would suggest. They are musical, revealing, engaging – as mentioned above this product will only work with a Comet so it’s a captive market and combining a Comet and Ion together simply expands upon everything the Comet do so well.

Exogal as a company no longer exist, their products were incredibly reliable, I don’t ever recall having an issue or fault with an Exogal product, that said no warranty is offered with this but it is priced keenly to help it sell.
