OePhi Ascendence 2.5 Loudspeakers

The Ascendence 2.5 are OePhi’s second floor standing loudspeaker, they are the same size as the entry level Lounge 2.5 and both the Transcendence 2.5 and Immanence 2.5 which sit above them. Standing at 100 cm tall including their spike they are certainly not an large imposing loudspeaker and will not take not over a room.

The Ascendence 2 exemplifies OePhi’s commitment to producing a speaker with serious performance and credentials, but priced at a more accessible level.

This model uses a SEAS tweeter, but one which has effectively been rebuilt in-house by OePhi to their specifications and this elevates the performance to a level not normally associated with a speaker at this price point, this mid/bass driver is also from SEAS, but again it is has been modified to extract better performance from it.

The Ascendence 2.5 builds on the excellent performance of the Ascendence, but with additional weight and scale. They give you a significant flavour of what OePhi is all about as a brand, timing, pacing, articulation are all first rate.

They are not particularly difficult to drive but as with all OePhi speakers you only get out what you put it in so the better the amplifier the better the end result. They work particularly well with the Soulnote A-1, A-2 and the new T+A Symphonia.

They are a little more forgiving than Transcendence and Immanence in many areas, but they are still OePhi through and through.
