OePhi Ascendence 2 Loudspeakers

The Ascendence 2 are OePhi’s entry level standmount loudspeaker, they are the same physical size as the other 2 standmount speakers in their range, the Transcendence 2 and the Immanence 2. Standing at 35cm tall they are certainly not an large imposing loudspeaker and won’t take over a room.

The Ascendence 2 exemplifies OePhi’s commitment to producing a speaker with serious performance and credentials, but priced at a more accessible level.

This model uses a SEAS tweeter, but one which has effectively been rebuilt in-house by OePhi to their specifications and this elevates the performance to a level not normally associated with a speaker at this price point, this mid/bass driver is also from SEAS, but again it is has been modified to extract better performance from it.

For the money the Ascendence 2 has no right to sound as sophisticated as it does, it is incredibly transparent and open sounding, with great weight for the size of box. Timing, pace, articulation are all excellent. The Ascendence 2 certainly appreciate a good quality amplifier to get the best from them, the Soulnote A-1 and A-2 are superb choices and really drive the speaker incredibly well.
