An evolution with Doshi Audio

Next year is Audio Therapy’s 10th anniversary and to help celebrate that landmark, the business is slowly entering a period of expansion and growth. Our demonstration room underwent a major refurbishment which was completed at the start of this year and I’ve been carefully searching for a couple of additional world class brands that will achieve two goals: elevate the business into a new position and compliment our existing brands and products.

I announced just yesterday that the Wadax Studio range of products are soon to become available from Audio Therapy and in addition, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce today that the American brand Doshi Audio will be joining Wadax as well.

Founded in 2006 by Nick Doshi, Doshi Audio have quietly carved themselves an incredible reputation over the past 20 years. Their current Evolution Series comprises of a small number of genuine landmark products, no wonder Doshi have been described as one of the very best secrets in the industry.

I first experienced Doshi at Munich in 2023 but by sheer coincidence, I actually met Nick before I’d spent any time listening to the products. We ended up sitting next to each other in a restaurant for a night out organised by Paul Wakeen of Stillpoints.

Since then I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Doshi on a multiple occasions. These experiences have stayed with me and I’ve always known that I had to act on them.

Their range is fairly concise with a preamplifier, stereo power amplifier, mono power amplifiers, alongside a phono stage and tape stage.

In terms of performance, Doshi is right out of the top drawer. They deliver incredible engagement and an uncanny emotional connection to the music. Doshi is understated in many ways and although they are all tube products, they certainly don’t seem like it in the way they perform with astonishing levels of transparency and world class dynamics.

Partnered with front end source components from Metronome, Vitus Signature, and Wadax Studio it is something I can’t wait to show off. The Evolution Line Preamplifier and Evolution Stereo Power Amplifier are the two models that we are putting on permanents demonstration. The Linestage is £26,000 and the Power Amplifier is £28,000.
