Many customers have wanted to get into the range of Entreq Speaker Cable over the past couple of years but many have found the range of ground cables and ground boxes daunting and costly.
Say hello to Entreq Primer Pro!
This is Entreq’s all new entry level range, where they have used technology developed further up the range to give people of big flavour of what is possible with Entreq.
So far, demonstrations of the whole range of Primer Pro cables have been revelatory to say the least. I would go as far to say they are potentially re-writing the rulebook at the price points.
All of the Primer Pro speaker cables come included with hard wired ground cables and ground box and a 2.5m pair is £1100 so it works out at £220 per metre for this length, as lengths increase the price per metre actually drops slightly due the fixed price of the ground box/ground cables.
Lengths start at 2.5m and stereo increments are £80 for every additional 0.60 cm, so a 3.1m pair is £1230 and and a 3.7m pair is £1310.00
When first connected up to a system the general feedback from most people is that it sounds a bit drab and lifeless and to be fair, it does. But once it has been connected up for a few hours the benefit of the ground box/ground cables slowly starts to come into play. It can take a little while for this to occur but over the first evening/24 hours of listening to music the changes are always quite apparent. In many demonstrations you can literally hear the presentation change and open up after just a few songs – this does vary from system to system.
By removing the unwanted pollutants from the cable/signal path and draining them to the ground box the noise floor is lowered, dynamics increase and you get a more natural, organic sound with better flow, rhythm and timing. I have supplied Primer Pro to good number of customers and many of them have replaced more expensive speaker cables from more well established cables brands from both the UK and the USA.
As with all Entreq Speaker Cables the negative conductor is made from Copper and the positive conductor is made from Silver and offer incredible value for money

Characteristics of Entreq Cable Design
1 Separate cable for positive and negative signals
2 Asymmetrical design
3 Positive and negative cables are spun clockwise and anticlockwise respectively.
4 Adapted lengths to minimise the antenna effect.
5 DIC Dedicated contacts so the area on the mass of the contact areas correspond to the cable area.
6 Wood in the contact framework. Non-magnetic and non-conductive.
7 Only pure copper or/and silver in the signal paths. No alloys,
8 Drain wire instead of shielding in order to connect to a pure earth point (External Earth Drain System)
9 Cotton covering instead of synthetic materials
10 EEDS External Earth Drain System
This entails the shielding / drain wire not being connected to the device’s negative pole, but is connected to another external earth point (a ground box!)
