The Wadax Studio Player is the ultimate one box source component, it was designed and conceived as a more accessible version of their flagship Atlantis Reference System. It features a significant amount of technology and a large slice of performance which has been passed down to the Studio Player

The Studio Player is the Wadax ‘entry level’ model and it possesses an exhaustive feature set offering CD and SACD playback plus Network Streaming with services that include Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect. It is also a Roon Ready device and fully supports UPnP so if you have a large digital library archived on a Melco you can allow your files access to the famed Wadax performance.

Via the 5 inch touchscreen you also have adjustable output levels and output impedance to fine tune the performance to your system.

The Studio Player redefines what is possible from a single box at this sort of price point, but it doesn’t end there. Studio Player performance can be dramatically enhanced even further with the addition of 2 further models that Wadax released in the summer of 2025, the Studio Clock and the Studio Power Supply, plus the optional Akasa DC Studio Cable

You can add these additional models to the Studio Player in whichever order you prefer. You can do one or the other, or both depending on budget and preference.

The Studio Player utilises what is best descbribed as a fully modular architecture and was designed with expansion in mind, for the DAC board and analogue output stage can easily be swapped out by the end user as and when updates become available, this was previewed in Vienna at the High End Show with the launch of the upcoming Studio DAC and Studio Transport. Let’s make no mistake the Studio Player is a lot money, but it is an incredibly significant product and offers unrivalled performance and flexibility.
