T+A PDT 3100 HV CD/SACD Transport

The PDT 3100 HV is a purist CD / SACD mechanism which does not feature supplementary integral digital sources or converters. It has been developed uniquely and exclusively for the uncompromising task of reading SACD and CD, and is fitted with a new decoder / drive mechanism which has been developed from the ground up by T+A’s engineers. This mechanism reads and decodes CD and SACD without error and to the very highest standards. The mechanism is integrated into a heavy drive unit manufactured to rigidly high standards, designed to shield and isolate it completely.

The PDT 3100 can be used with any DAC for red book CD replay and there is Optical, RCA, BNC and AES-EBU digital outputs, there is also T+A’s proprietary digital connection, the IPA link designed to connect the PDT to either the SD 3100 HV DAC, the SDV 3100 DAC/Preamp and the PSD 3100 which is another DAC/Preamp model.

SACD playback is only possible by using the IPA Link on one of these 3 models, PCM data is also outputted via IPA Link.

The PDT performs to an incredibly high level, one of the finest sounding CD transports money can buy, we keep the PDT-3100 on permanent demonstration along with the PSD-3100 which is the matching DAC/Preamp.
