Soulnote A2 ver2 Integrated Amplifier
The A2 ver.2 is the replacement for the popular A2 Integrated Amplifier, a modest increase in price (£6900 compared to the £6300 for the original A2), but a quite dramatic upgrade in performance.
This amplifier is rated at 80 watts into an 8 ohm load, doubling to 160 watts when impedance drops to 4 ohms.
All of the Soulnote ver.2 products have has a design change, with both Series 1 and Series 2 products looking more like the range topping Series 3.
This amplifier has 6 analogue inputs (3 pairs of RCA and 3 pairs of XLR inputs) and there is a single pair of loudspeaker outputs.
The A2 ver.2 is an integrated amplifier but it can be configured to be used a power amplifier, you can run 2 of them together in bi-amp mode or even run 2 as mono power amplifiers
Build quality is excellent weighing in at 20kg
Performance of the A2 ver. 2 is superb, it offers excellent transparency and insight into the music, but there is a real sense of sweetness and richness about the music and the way in which is presented.
